Is it possible that the person who implemented this trigger has no
flipping idea of how to use a trigger? I've seen this if the person
- only wants to know what record was updated.
- Uses the trigger program to chain back out to that same record and
update the record again
Instead of just modifying the buffer in the trigger program and having
ALWREPCHG(*YES) on the ADDPFTRG.
For example, they want to modify the file and add a LastModifiedByUser and
a LastModifiedTimestamp which is quite easily done by modifying the
trigger buffer but they can't be bothered to learn that stuff because the
concept of a simple data structure blows their mind and they're stuck in
the CHAIN/UPDATE mentality.
