You can enter an Internet Address, Subnet Mask, and Gateway address on both
the Console side and the i side.

Make sure you go into DST and setup a few Service tools Console devices.  I
ALWAYS create QCONSOLE2 & QCONSOLE3 just in case someone screws things up
with the PC later on.  Believe me, this has saved my butt a few times.

Thanks for the clarification.

I hope the Lan attached connection is routable. In other words, can you 
configure this nic to use a specified IP & gateway address ?
If so, it should function as a remote console.
