Many products can convert spooled files to .csv
You could then query a file and convert spool to csv

Yes, but I suggest using the ALIAS keyword in the DDS to get more
meaningful column names downloaded into excel. I feeling though that he's
looking for something more automatic and unfortunately, I don't know of
anyway without getting RPG involved.
