I enjoyed neither, mostly because in both places, my room was as far from
the meeting rooms as it could be. That was a major hassle when I was on TLC
duty at 7 AM. Heck, in Nashville, I had to go out and get a new pair of
cross trainers, because my knees were acting up from all the walking.

Geez Paul,
Gaylord Palms in Orlando reimbursed me for the car parking and Valet fees they charged( I did not have a car), the unwanted newspaper fee. BUT I still had to pay the Resort fee. Front desk clerk would not listen; however a letter to the hotel GM made it happen.
I still enjoyed both Gaylord hotels ( Orlando and Nashville)

You going to be a commuter, or stay at the hotel? I can't seem to get mywireless

access that I wouldn't use (Sprint card), 2 bottles of bottled tap waterbeen
(Dasani) that I wouldn't drink and newspapers that I wouldn't have time to
read.
I sent a note to COMMON asking if I could get my money back if I returned
the water and newspapers to the front desk upon checking out. I haven't
given a response yet.

That would be really lame since it's just around the corner from where I
live. Guess I'm just having one of those Can't-Make-Myself-Understood
days. I thought the operable words were "outside of" and "warm." But
then (sigh) I knew what I meant.

I guess one of the things that will be interesting is the "size" of each
portion.
And by "size" I mean two things:
* The number of IBM presentations and other stuff (expo, etc.) for
each system, and
* The number of people attending/patronizing each system.
Not being able to personally attend too many seminars, etc., outside of
COMMON and the LUG, I'm holding out for the System i Developer thingie
this Fall - if they choose to have it some place warm (wink, wink,
nudge, nudge). But, then, they'll probably use that as an excuse/reason
to hold it in Fairbanks. .-)
