The platform (i.e. hardware) is certainly different now and common
between the two - but how many sessions are there on the hardware?
If you were to take a look at the list of sessions presented at this
year's events, you'd find very little commonality. Or take a look at
COMMON's list of sessions and see how many you think a p audience
would be interested in.
I will say however that some IBMers whose opinions I value are
pleased by the change and regardless of what I or anyone else thinks
it will happen - at least for 2008.
