Presumably the steps followed, failed to effect the change in the
definition of the SQL version of the files [in the alternate library],
to have DECIMAL(9, 0) for the fields BORR_SSN and BRQDVA? This is what
the SQL SELECT does. That change in the data type for those fields is
the intent of what was suggested. To verify that the character data
being mapped to numeric is in fact [capable of being mapped to] "numeric
data" types in an SQL TABLE. The SQL DECIMAL type for the SQL TABLE
will prevent non-numeric data from being inserted [regardless that CPYF
versus SQL is being used to do the insert].
