Who is it you need to restrict? Are any of the target objects used by
production programs?
If you only want to grant access to, say DFU, in a controlled manner
PowerTech has a product to allow this. It is called Authority Broker.
Then again, I have to admit to being a wee bit biased.

Yes, I know table restriction would be best and we're working toward
that but in the interim restricting users from using DFU and other
commands would be a good stop-gap.
