Those UPSs were a bit of a bugger. You can get the batteries from any decent battery place (e.g. Batteries Plus), they are very standard. The fun part is getting the cables correct so that the batteries fit back into the drawer. You may have one, two, or three drawers with four batteries each. In some cases those UPS just died flat and the white button on the UPS did nothing at all but by now if you haven't replace the batteries in that thing at LEAST once those inside it are certainly scrap.

Oh, and try the IPL again, it will likely complete this time. Chances are the dump was taken due to the hard drop.
