Do you have a firewall in place? You may need to open a path to the URL.

Subject: FTP'ing to external url

I am working with a client who needs to put/get from a vendor's url.
We already do FTP to an internal server with no problem. No ports are
restricted on the AS/400.

However when I attempt to ftp to the external site, I get 'Cannot find
host'. When ftp from my company's AS/400 to this same site, I get past
this error.

The client's AS/400 now resides in a new parent company's network. What
do I need to ask the network guys/gals to do to allow access to the
outside?

Thank you,
Bonnie Lokenvitz
