Go to Rochester and take the tour. The i5 and p5 aren't just built in
the same plant, they're built on the same line. The person leading our
tour said that the assemblers couldn't even tell which were which until
the nameplates go on. That statement is not totally true, if you can
spot an i or p specific feature inside the box you can tell them apart,
but that's the only way.

Yes they are. Side by side and in the same zip code even! It is my
understanding that the i5 labels are gold plated so that's why the p5 is
cheaper :-)
