Nobody who codes exception handling in Java, Ruby, C++, Python, (on and
on and on) is reinventing the wheel or has to write any more error
handling code than we do when we code MONITOR in RPG or MONMSG in CL.

in Linux you will use Perl as the CL equivalent and Java as the
application language, correct? In CL you can catch an exception that
is thrown by an RPG program. Can Perl catch Java exceptions? When I
display the call stack of a Linux process, will I see the Perl program
calling the Java code?
