Java on the iSeries is a perfect example of a language not having complete
error stack handling. Have you ever tried to throw an error in a Java
program and have it show up correctly in the job log? I have. It cuts it
off right about when you get to the point in the stack trace that would give
you enough to fix the issue. Note that I am talking about Java running on
the native side and NOT in a Servlet engine. Having intimately integrated
error handling from language to OS is VERY nice.

Nobody who codes exception handling in Java, Ruby, C++, Python, (on and on
and on) is reinventing the wheel or has to write any more error handling
code than we do when we code MONITOR in RPG or MONMSG in CL.
