Many offices in Brazil for accounting functions?

Guess they work only for foreign calls, locally they aren't much better
than Joe explained...

Regards from Brazil,

That's pretty bad to have to send a email to Sam's office
about a invoice. IBM has many offices in both Canada and
Brazil for accounting functions.

I suspect India for your problem. Most of those folks have
taken "new" first names to be more "friendly sounding" with
their clients. They use the "new" names even in family situations.

IBM should be embarrassed... I am.

I left a very similar email to Sam Palmisano's email inbox,
and have
already been contacted by someone from the chairman's
office. They're
looking into it, but what I thought was interesting is that they
believe the call was taken by a call center in Canada. Even though
I'm reasonably certain the caller was neither a native
American nor Canadian, I've been wrong before.
It COULD have been a Quebecoise, I suppose, but I seriously
doubt it.
I guess we'll see.
