Hi Jim,

You are exactly right. In System Manager they need to go to the Relay button. This will open a dialog called Relay Restrictions where they can add the IP address of the i5 in the box labeled: Computers. They will probably want the option 'Select which computer may relay through this virtual server' set to 'Only the list below'.

If they do not know where the Relay button is, you can tell them it is under the mail server (in Administrative Groups), in the Protocols/SMTP folder. When you change properties for the Virtual SMTP Server there is a tab labeled Access which contains the Relay button.

I am pretty sure the location is the same for 2000 & 2003.
