In addition to "terminal" access, are you going to need
printing?    scs  afpds  other
upload/downloads?
email server access?
other internal network services?
Are you going to rely on user id/pwd or have further authentication
via exit programs or other methods?

Why require client software?  You can run the
http://www.mochasoft.dk/tn5250activex.htm version over an SSL
connection.  Put a user/password for the web site if you need to.

Thanks Brian.  Mochasoft's on my radar.  Users would have to download
both the VPN client and Mochasoft and I don't know how seamless my boss
wants the remote access to be for non-IT folk.
