Hi Bryan,

The way host print transform works is that the source
drawer spool file attribute causes a printer control
command requesting a particular input tray to be sent
to the target printer. The command is stored in the
object referenced in the Manufacturer Type and Model
field.

I checked the Windows Printer Driver for the HP 4250tn
and found the commands to select input trays 1, 2, and
3.

Tray 1 - 1B 26 6C 34 48
Tray 2 - 1B 26 6C 31 48
Tray 3 - 1B 26 6C 35 48

You may need to create a WSCST, which will map the
input tray you want to use to the source drawer value
referenced in a spool file.

Example: If you want spool file attribute <source
drawer one> to activate input tray 2 on the printer,
you need to insure that the WSCST TAG for DRAWER 1 =
1B 26 6C 31 48.

HTH

Best Regards,

/Paul

subject: LaserJet says LOAD TRAY 1

New LaserJet 4250tn says LOAD TRAY1 whenever I send a
document to it. When I tell the printer to use tray
2
instead of tray 1, the document prints. Tray 1 is the
manual feed tray and tray two in plain letter.

What's wrong here? Here's the device description:
