Jim,

Have you tried doing the following on Fix Central? (note the trick)

System i family
i5/OS and OS/400
Groups, HIPER, Cumulative fixes
V5R4

Pick the cume. Add it to your download list.

Order name: CUME
PTFs and Cover Letters
Include all requisite PTFs

Enter in your
system name
user id
password

Download CD-ROM images
 Down CD-ROM images using FTP
Mail order on CD-ROM

NOW HERE'S THE TRICK!!!
Maximum size to download using FTP: 100MB

After that completes you will get the screen:
The Fix Central function has been completed.
Your order has been sent for processing. You will receive an email when
the processing system receives the order. You will receive another email
when the order is shipped.

The following information is a summary of the processed order.

Return to Fix Central

System Information

System name: gdisys
Total size: Not available
Elapsed Time: Not available

Requested PTFs
PTF Status Product description

no more cume dvd via sndptford?

Trying to use sndptford to get current v5r4 cume
to apply a few weeks from now. Cannot take network traffic
of a 800mb download.
It appears with sndptford I can no longer get dvd.

I have 4 diff customers to do in Feb.
IBM probably saves a bundle doing this.
My job just got exponentially harder.
Have not used fix central after others had a multitude of problems,
plus it doesn't seem to like one pc and many systems not
related to each other.
Wondering how others who support multiple customers,
multiple machines are doing this?
Right now seems I will be scheduling/monitoring 4 diff
downloads at 2am (2 custs are 24x7). Since each download
is only the ptfs needed, a download to one system may not
have everything another system needs?
