Yeah... that's a junker of a webpage. Darrell A Martin <DMartin@moreycor p.com> To Sent by: Midrange Systems Technical midrange-l-bounce Discussion s@xxxxxxxxxxxx <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> cc 01/16/2007 08:49 Subject AM Re: Father of WebSphere Leaves IBM For Microsoft Please respond to Midrange Systems Technical Discussion <midrange-l@midra nge.com> Hi: When I clicked on the URL, from Lotus Notes, it gave all the appearances of "blowing up". Didn't really, as it turns out, but neither the Notes client nor I were at all happy for a while ("Do you want to install and run Adobe Flash?" -- it's already installed and working fine). I find it ironic, given the subject matter, that when viewed from Firefox the page turns out to be stable -- but one of the ugliest pieces of Web presentation I have seen in a long time. There is a scroll-following popover (a *plague* on the guy who invented that!), and there are either ten or eleven visually distinct ways of presenting navigation links, depending on how one defines "distinct" and/or "navigation links". Oops, make that eleven or twelve, I just noticed one of the link lists autoscrolls vertically. Maybe the .NET Developers Journal people were just trying to use all the tricks they know on one page.
