Last night I downloaded the latest Quicktime version and installed it. This morning when I checked my morning email, I found that the laptop
was
not locked and the screen saver was set to NONE which disabled the password protection.
This probably belongs in PC-Tech but since you brought it up... :) I got an iPod for Christmas and downloaded iTunes which, somewhere along the way, updated Quicktime. Since then I've also noticed that my password lockout was no longer functioning. At least you're not alone in your problems. Dave Parnin
