Does it change how you will be sending data to the printer (ie an OUTQ)? 
Although I've never worked with Zebra bar-code printers I have worked with 
Intermec bar-code printers connected via a PC as well as Marknet, and 
JetDirect network boxes.  The weak link in the chain for me has always 
been getting a cable between the PC/network adapter that supported all of 
the necessary pinouts.  I would think that by going strictly ethernet it 
might end up being a better configuration.  You will have to learn how to 
specify an IP address.  Does it support DHCP?  Is that important to you? 
Will this require additional network cabling to be installed (where a 
serial printer might just run off of a PC already on the network)?
