Vishu, You might need to do some clarification on your question. With the System i you can have a number of different types of printer connections (direct, LAN, remote outq, client access, etc). By the term session I would assume you are talking about Client Access. However, you can print to a LAN based printer without Client Access. I'm going to assume that this is probably more in line with what you are interested. I would also assume that you don't have an SCS/IPDS card or support for this printer. To make things easier you might want to describe what kind of printer you are printing to and how it is connected to the system (twinax, ETH LAN, CA/400, etc.). This link is an ok starting point.... http://www-912.ibm.com/s_dir/slkbase.nsf/acf2ee1e9d64b16e8625680b0002038 9/b44a2cf4ba778d83862568250053649f?OpenDocument&Highlight=0,ascii For example you could print to a HP printer using a remote outq and HPT..... Use one of the included links to search for your printer type and you can make some determination from there. Michael Crump Manager, Computing Services Saint-Gobain Containers, Inc. 1509 S.
