I've been doing IxSes since they were IPCSes. :) Question on your client's IxA setup: Do they have any external HSL towers and if so, is the IxA in a separate HSL loop from the towers? I ask as my greatest fear with IxA is that 'something' would happen to the xSeries or the cabling and, since the connectors are different from standard HSL it'd cause issues. Also, while the HSL should allow breaking the loop to add/replace/remove IxAs without powering down the iSeries, the thought of doing so makes me nervous. Especially since these are CIFs (Customer Installed Features). (Outlook's spell checker doesn't like all of these acronyms with mixed lowercase letters.)
