A 8-way Xeon w/8Gig will blow the doors off that System i spec.
Blow the doors off it how? Will it support 100 users? In what language? As I've pointed out before, I have a dual-Xeon workstation and I can bog it down all by my little self. And you yourself note that any sort of disk access will kill it. On pure web serving, it might be a great spec. For concurrent transaction processing, maybe not so cool. But the iSeries will handle dozens, if not 100s, of users. Joe
