Having an HTTP server does NOT match my definition of GUI. I want to be able to (at least start to) GUI'ize my applications by using the EXFMT keyword...
IBM is looking into it, and that's exactly what Brian Kelly has been calling for, during the past couple years (Brian Kelly, the author of the IT Jungle article which this thread is named after). I've considered the idea too, and even wrote an RPG application which performed browser I/O using read and write op codes, using a special file, but then dropped the idea, mostly because it required the browser interface to be precisely in sync with the application interface, which I felt was too restrictive. To each there own, though. Nathan. ____________________________________________________________________________________ Do you Yahoo!? Everyone is raving about the all-new Yahoo!
