Joe,I do believe in making the System i cool again. It used to be - when we would adopt all the new feature/function as they were released. Now, as an industry, we have become mired in a puddle of green. Some of us are stepping out of the puddle, but there are many ways out and that is confusing - and it means staying where we are rather than making a decision for ~change~.
I believe it is time to apply some style - add it to the substance. We know we have the substance, and we can back that up - maybe it is time for a different approach? One that stirs some passion, one that stirs emotion - er.. marketing? :-)
Anyway, that is my approach. Go make me a viral video, and I bet you would change your mind!! iMovie is so much fun, it becomes rather addictive!

From: Trevor Perry I think you are missing the point of my site/s...Nah. And as I said, I respect the effort, and I've even contributed in myown tiny way. I just have reservations about the efficacy; has our industryreally fallen to the point where style is more important than substance? Certainly that's the case in commodity items such as desktops and MP3players and cellphones, but is it really the case in business servers? Canyou afford to buy a $20,000 server the same way you buy a $200 camera? I wonder if we shouldn't be spending more time differentiating the market rather than falling into the marketing and merchandising trap. But that's just me. Joe
