Darrell,There is nothing wrong with calling your AS/400 an AS/400. You are one of the lucky few to still be living with one. And it belongs to the System i family (our watchamacallit brand name). And that is how it is connected.

Hi, Trevor: I read just fine, and what I read you to have just written is that the AS/400 is included in the current family/brand. So that means it's perfectly OK if I keep on calling my model 720 an AS/400. Right? So what is the fuss about if I do? What I think was actually more important about my message is the danger in divorcing the whatchamacallit current brand name from the heritage of the platform, which includes a track record of stability and reliability (among other things) that is enviable by just about any reasonable standard.
