Joe, It's a replacement for a twinax console for those i5 machines that don't have a LPAR thus don't need an HMC. There's been some discussion on this list about them, http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l/200607/msg00516.html Basically, a custom Neoware thin client box from IBM. And how much do they cost? JoeFrom: Trevor Perry I just installed two new 520s with thin consoles. I pluggedthem in andturned them on. Not too difficult. The most difficult part was setting the IP and system nameparameters tosuit the customer requirements. Ease-of-use = 10 out of 10. And I am not a sysadmin, either.-- This is the Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (MIDRANGE-L) mailing list To post a message email: MIDRANGE-L@xxxxxxxxxxxx To subscribe, unsubscribe, or change list options, visit: http://lists.midrange.com/mailman/listinfo/midrange-l or email: MIDRANGE-L-request@xxxxxxxxxxxx Before posting, please take a moment to review the archives at http://archive.midrange.com/midrange-l.
