Just a WAG, but I'd guess that one of the jobs in the servers handling CA is hanging. If you ENDSBS *ALL *IMMED from the console before you power down, does it still hang? If that's the case, I can give you my SHUTDOWN routine I wrote for one client's DR box hosting company to use. It brings everything down before it powers off. That location contains nobody familiar with OS/400, and there are subsystems that need to be brought down gently or I need to get involved (JDE shop with the ACOM software doing the printing). ACOM gets cranky if one does not end its jobs without the proper commands.
