Other possibilities:Uzaemon, the Japanese fellow who brought ZLIB to the 400, has open-source RPG-based APIs for sending and receiving mail, SNDM and RCVM.
http://homepage1.nifty.com/uzaemon/You can also write a front-end for JavaMail, although if the application is AS/400-native, you do end up with a big "impedence bump" calling Java from ILE or OPM.
We've used JavaMail, and the operating system, and SNDM, for sending out programmatically-generated emails, and of the three, my favorite has to be Uzaemon's SNDM.
