Tom:I agree. Not too many years ago, I was making a living by re-working "business systems" that had been put together by some business owner's neighbor's nephew who had a Trash-80 and therefore obviously knew what was needed to automate business processes. I am still amazed at some of the messes I had to clean up and replace.
Wide-spread hobbyist activities provide valuable tools, ideas and other elements to the industry. But they don't always provide good business systems.
