I can make a case that client PCs need as much CPU as they can get for flicker free drawing of controls on forms, running modern framework code that is just in time compiled as it is run, loading more layers to the system software to meet security requirements, running Java code written with a 3Ghz PC in mind ( think WDSc ).But the i5 is a server. VB client application code that runs great with a modern PC server will be a dog when served by a geared down i5.-Steve
