I read through all archived posts regarding DR and the IXS but have a
question on the restore process.

We currently have a contract with IBM to provide us with a replacement AS400
in the event of a disaster. In the contract, it states we will be supplied
at least an equivalent if not better AS400 at our DR site. We are planning
on restoring our system from, first a full system save, and then from our
most current backups. If they supply us with a similar AS400 and the exact
same IXS card, will the IXS drives be restored and operational after the Go
Restore, Option 21. Or will we still have to allocate the storage space,
etc?

I understand from earlier posts that a different card would require a
re-load of the Windows OS.

Thanks,

David Charmatz
