So close in acronym, so far in function. If you look closely in QSYSWRK you can see jobs for both SMTP (Mail) and SNMP (network). They are definately two different servers. They also show up as such in iNav.

So, as to the SMTP server, you I need that puppy running if we're not using the i5 for email? Does it serve any other function for me?
And, as regards the SNMP server, I see it (I think) under QSYSWRK, when I use WRKACTJOB, as QSNMPSA.and in iNav's Active jobs. But I do not see it in Inav's Network..Servers..TCP/IP, though there is a SNTP server running. But I surmise from your cautionary note that I should just keep my paws off of the SNMP server if I ever do find it.
