Look at the Backup and Recovery Guide V5R3 -- Chapter 14 Release-to-ReleaseSupport The section on Previous Release -to-Current Release Support contains a checklist that we use for all of our "box swap" RISC migrations now. As long as their is an upgrade path from the OS level on your old server to the OS level on the new server, the checklist in this section will work (at least it has for me).I was referred to this checklist by IBM SupportLine during one of our earlyRISC upgradeswhere I was upgrading the old server before a full save and then restore onthe new server. This checklist shortens the process quite a bit. Things to watch are the restore of configuration objects that don't match resources on the new server. These have to be corrected. ---------------------- Scott A.
