It's set as TAP03 and TAPMLB01 is varied off. I found how to change the mode
to sequential. THANKS ALL!!!

What is the drive again?  Different tape devices have different option
to set mode of operation.  On the iSeries side, you will have two device
configurations, TAPxx and TAPMLBxx.  Make sure the MLB is varied off if
you have it.  If you never had the drive in library mode, you may not
have the MLB device description.
