Perle 494T over DSL

Has anyone been successful in getting Perle 494T
controllers to communicate over a DSL network to an
AS400/iSeries/Systemi5/name_of_the_day ?

Customer presently has Frame Relay to connect remote
brance twinax devices over the Perle to head office
model 200.  Looking at replacing model 200 with an
i5-520 and replacing Frame Relay with a private DSL
network from branches to head office, which will have
the DSL link out to the Internet.
