As promised, I built a stream file PTF and watched the installation process. For what it's worth here are my observations:
LODPTF
o Contents of PTF save file restored to QSRV
o Stream file save files moved to product library
o QSRV cleared
APYPTF
o Current stream file renamed
- Naming convention appears to be a concatenation of:
./PTF-ID PRD-ID PRD-OPT RLS-MOD LOD-ID OPT/SEQ
o Replacement stream file restored from save file in product library
