It sounds like you may be using Exchange 5.5... can you confirm if you are upgrading the Exchange Server software as well as doing the move? What version are you running? David deLisi ● Microsoft Sent with Microsoft Office 2007, Beta 1 -----Original Message----- From: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of John P. Walsh Sent: Friday, March 10, 2006 3:36 AM To: MIDRANGE-L@midrange. com Subject: Exchange on integrated x Series I am contemplating moving Exchange from an old Intel box that has space limitations to the unused integrated server in my model 800. Exchange is performing poorly presently due to the old box and and increased number of users. Has anyone done this? Good idea or bad? If I do it, can I also install GFI Mail Essentials on that server? I hope to gain performance and consolidate the backup. However, it seems to me that if I have to recover anything in Exchange I may be limited to restoring all or nothing. Looking forward to your thoughts. John P.
