Thank you. Neither SNDMSG, nor SNDBRKMSG, update the joblog appropriately so it looks like the one line CLP.
A one-line CLP might be the best solution. The other way (if you really want to avoid the CLP) is to call the Send Program Message (QMHSNDPM) API. I haven't tried it from FTP, but this'll work from the command-line:
CALL QMHSNDPM ('CPF9897' 'QCPFMSG *LIBL' 'Test test' x'00000009' '*DIAG' '*' x'00000001' 'XXXX' x'00000000') But, like I said before, a 1 line CL might be easier and cleaner.
