Lyle and Paul,

These save files are NOT the ones downloaded from IBM. What happens when
you apply a ptf is "roughly" the following:
1 - Create a new save file in the production library.
2 - Save existing copy of changed object into this new save file.
3 - Replace existing copy of changed object with new object restored from
the other save file you downloaded from IBM.
So basically there's two (or more) save files involved - the one
downloaded from IBM and the one(s) created to backup the object(s)
changed. I am positive that the ones in the LPP libraries are the backup
save files. These back up save files only get deleted when you apply the
ptf permanently or through a he!! of a lot of hunting on your part.
