If the problem is because a PTF is needed from IBM, what else would you 
expect the vendor to do?

It sounds to me like they identified the problem as a missing PTF and told 
you how to fix it.  Do you expect them to get the PTF from IBM and apply 
it to your system?

Yes.  iTera told us that when we upgraded
to their latest version.  Actually, they said
it was a PTF on the latest cume that caused
the remote journaling problem, but for two
days they were replying to our requests
for a fix with 'Did you call IBM yet?'

They had a patch within a week, and the 
system is fine now - but yes, I have had
a HA vendor tell me to call IBM.
