Don't transfer the file in binary mode. Let the automatic EBCDIC to
ASCII conversion happen.

That would be possible if I FTP'd from AS400, but that doesn't work, so I'mworking from DOS. The DOS script gives an error if I don't us bin (binaryrequired).

Do you need to transfer in binary?

I'm working from DOS, tried the script without bin, then I get 'binaryrequired'.
