Certainly that's a good point. However FF 1.0.7 is probably less than six months old, I was not aware that 1.5 was even out. (Checked, it was installed on my machine on 9/20/2005) Additionally, due to increased security I no longer have admin access to my PC here at work and I now have to submit a security form any time I want to upgrade anything. Someone mentioned that they run a full system virus scan whenever they use IE. I don't think that is an over-reaction. I finally quit using IE entirely when I found that the IE cache was harboring trojans that my virus scan couldn't clean. My original question was: Why doesn't this page allow unsupported browsers to continue, or at least present a "browser not supported" message instead of some cryptic message with no info and circular links? I don't really want to get into a discussion of the various features of dozens of browsers, I just want to know why anyone would write code that excludes one browser over another. I can use any number of 5250 or telnet clients to access my iSeries and I don't ever get a message that says: "Your request cannot be displayed." They just used a newer version of FF. Is it really such a PITA to upgrade your browser? Or is there some business decision to remain at ancient versions of the browser in order to test any website you design that it is compatible with old versions of FF? Are there really "users", and not web developers, that use something like FF and refuse to upgrade to a newer version of FF? Rob Berendt
