BTW, haven't "seen" you in awhile, Al Mac! Although I had to wonder if it's the same guy; you only gave a two-line response! <g>
1. I have real difficulty with being elegant ... I want to explain technical details and more background perspective, pros / cons of some approach ... you caught me at a moment when I was not 100% sure of myself but wanted to make a constructive suggestion about something that might be worth reviewing 2. After the Y2K conversion, when I had been working some 100 hour weeks, I told my boss I needed some kind of break, because I felt I was at risk of burnout ... I just had not thought through best options, such as altering how I take vacations ... beware of what you ask for, you might get it. 3. In a round of the company trying to cut costs, I ended up having choice of severance bonus or go on part time ... the job market seeming to me to be real far south, I took the latter, 4. At the time, I cut down on a lot of time I was spending "outside the office" with 400 continuing education, such as all of www.midrange.com stuff except for BPCS_L, to focus on looking for some other part time income 5. then JT gave me part time work which lasted surprisingly long, and revealed some other things I appear to be good at 6. I got some of my hours and pay back but I still on part time, and being over age 60 I doubt I can ever go back to those 100+ our weeks and survive 7. In the absence of much 400 continuing education for a few years, with variety of 400 problems accumulating, I rejoined MIDRANGE_L
