Make sure your sending to PAGE.NEXTEL.COM and it will page the nextel with the email, otherwise you'll have to connect to view the message. Are you using SNDDST for the mail message, if you are, check your host table on the AS400 to see if the old company name is there with the address of the AS400. Also, do a TRCTCPAPP *SMTPSVR, *SMTPCLT and it will give you a printout you can follow to see if the message is making it out and what the AS400 is tagging for a return address. Another thought is that if you are using the SNDDST command, cehck the directory entry for the user to see if anyone has setup an alternate SMTP address, I think its F19 from the edit screen on the user. -----Original Message----- From: Dwayne Allison <Dwayne.Allison@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> To: Midrange Systems Technical Discussion (E-mail) <midrange-l@xxxxxxxxxxxx> Sent: Thu, 22 Sep 2005 11:37:13 -0500 Subject: e-mail from AS/400 Hello All, We are sending alert e-mail from our AS/400 to our cell phone. This allow us to response to cycle and backup error. We now have an issue where two of our operator are not getting the alert message. The first two cell phone are with Cingular and the other two are Nextel. The Cingular cell phone are getting the alert messages, but the Nextel are not. We were thing that Nextel has put in a block that stop our e-mail from going because we do not have an return e-mail setup on the AS/400, that I know of. I also noticed that when we send e-mail from the AS/400 it has our old company name on it, as the sender. How do we change this?
