What about it? QSECOFR is a Service Tools ID. You can have as many as you want with varying access rights. Al's suggestion will simply reset the password for QSECOFR in System Service Tools (STRSST), not for a normal sign-on to the system The two (DST/SST and normal sign-on) can (and probably should) have different passwords..

Any other service tool id you may have (such as CHUCK) is/may still be valid. At any rate it is not affected by Al's suggestion (CHGDSTPWD). Once you have that you can change/add/delete the others. A very important thing to remember is that the password in DST/SST is case sensitive. I forgot that once and blew away my access to DST. Fortunately CHGDSTPWD reset it and everything was cool after that.

No.

As QSECOFR, enter the CHGDSTPWD *DEFAULT.

This will change the QSECOFR DST password to QSECOFR.
