Great - I'll try it when I get the customer site.

Depending on:
- What version of OS/400 you are running
- ...
You may be able to:
Sign on to the system console as QSECOFR (not someone with QSECOFR
privileges) and run CHGDSTPWD

Failing that you can do an IPL into DST. Now, this IPL will NOT disrupt
your active users. You do that by pushing some buttons on the front and
selecting 21. Once you start that up, watch the system console.

When you get this all fixed, do the following:
STRSST
7. Work with system security
Allow a service tools user ID with a
 default and expired password to change its own password . . . . . . . . .
. . . . . 1 1=Yes, 2=No

8. Work with service tools user IDs and Devices 1. Service tools user IDs
1=Create and create another user so that if you muck up QSECOFR you don't
have to jump through hoops.

Resetting DST Password

I have succeeded in having the DST password disabled. How do I go about
resetting it- I think it's from the control panel on the box?
