Wow - this is awesome. OK, it reset it to QSECOFR in upper case and it is case sensitive (i.e. the field for password does not default to upper case like the user ID). So I get in and it says the password has expired. And I try and change it and get: Additional Message Information Message ID . . . . . . : CPF4AB7 Severity . . . . . . . : 40 Message type . . . . . : Information Date sent . . . . . . : 08/12/05 Time sent . . . . . . : 15:31:29 Message . . . . : Service tools user ID password cannot be changed. Whether that's upper- or lower-case I don't know, but my guess would be upper. Case is important. I'm on V5R3, which is different from V5R1. Don't know about V5R2. Again, the help (F1) on the command panel should tell you what will happen when you use the *Default option. Jerry
