V5R2 end of marketing is October 1 2005.

You better get with your BP and figure out why IBM thinks that SN has
expired software. The cost of 8k for renewal and one-year licensing is
in-line with an expired contract, I think.

Subject: V5R2 and V5R3

Did V5R2 go out of license and I didn't notice it? I just tried to
order update media for my model 270, both V5R2 and V5R3, and they want
to charge me for it! First, they want to charge me $50 for the V5R3
(for "software install and backup/recovery pubs"), which is bad enough,
but then they want to charge me nearly $8000 for V5R2: ("Basic OTC After
license" and "P10 registration/renewal"). I am on software
subscription, so I am very confused... all I want is the media for
releases I am entitled to through the software subscription I have been
paying every month!

Anybody hear anything like this?

Joe
