Your only regret will be not ordering the day they were announced. Seriously, it's no contest. How about tapes; are you changing tape drives? Even if not, you will likely see an improvement in save/restore time due to several factors (faster CPU, more RAM, faster system bus, disk/controllers that are fast enough to keep the tape drive fed, maybe a new & faster tape controller). Our i5 570 saves nearly 4 times faster than our 730 when both are saving to LTO2. The 730 is bogged down by the limited throughput of the SPD bus more than anything else.
